Back from the Missing

If any one out there is still even looking at my blog,
let the fact be known I am still alive.
 (Barely.)
You see, I got a full time job for a while.
And I still kept my part time job.
Needless to say, I almost met myself coming and going!
And my husband was a little miffed at
all the hours I was putting in.
We barely saw each other.
Some days he'd crawled into bed as I was getting out.
I'd kiss him good-bye and say see you tomorrow.

My temporary position was at Clear Image Photography
It was fun, I processed sports photos using PhotoShop.

Now that I have slowed down a little there,
my hubby and I went for a final excursion
with the 5th-Wheel before putting it to bed for the winter.
I know a lot bloggers were there too...
You know I'm talking about...

Ruffles and Rust!

It was a vintage antique show held at the
Evergreen Fair Grounds in Monroe (WA).
Over 50 vendors, so many pretty things!
I found it really hard to contain myself.
But I only came away with a few items.
It was really a good thing that I was busy helping at the door and
running for the promoter Timi Weathers-Bottorff.

Anyway, I hope to be back more frequently
now that things have settled down a little.

Best Wishes,

Rain

I am a true Western Washington Girl!
I miss the rain...it's back today,
with a little wind.
It really feels like fall.

Whatever you do...
Enjoy your day!

I'm off to babysit a granddaughter!

I rode the Duck!

I played tourist with my sister about a week ago.
And I rode the Duck!
After living in the area my whole life this is something
I haven't done and it was an amazing good time.
These are WWII amphibious vehicles.

Our Captain, Helen Wheels.
When not showing us the city,
Helen is a real fishing boat captain.
One of the few females in that line of work.

First we toured the city.

Ghost signs

Pike Place Market

Then we hit Lake Union.

City Skyline
Gasworks Park

Sleepless in Seattle House
And there in the center of the photo you can see the roof line
of the house used in Sleepless in Seattle.
(It's the green house with the darker green trim.)
And it's for sale!

It was an absolutely awesome day and something I will do again.
It's fun to be the tourist.

Summer Fun

It's been a very busy month!
Here is just a sampling of the fun...

Our granddaughters, Lily on the left and Isabella on the right.
This is the first time they just got to play together
and as a 1 year-old will do...everything in the mouth!

Our grandson Jacob turned 6 on the Forth of July.
This is his new scooter.

And last weekend at a Family Reunion at
The weather was hot and the company was fun!

Our campsite...I don't know where everyone disappeared to.

Time for visits

 New friends (big and small)

Water balloons complements of Grandpa Gene and Aunt Cindy

This is what I have been doing...
I'm also trying to get my business up on a facebook page,
and might I say, not having much luck!
So, if you've been successful please let me know your secret.

Best wishes,

A New Giveaway!

Blogger land is so much fun. I "meet" so many fun people
and get to share in their adventures.
Fiona and Twig have bought a new house and they are
letting us celebrate with them by sponsoring a give away
of a $90 gift certificate to CSN Stores. You can find almost anything there!
So, venture on over to both sites and see what you need to do to win and then make out your wish list for what you'd buy!
I'm working on mine.

Best wishes,

The Maiden Voyage

Here we are, all set up and ready to relax!
We stayed at the Quinault Marina & RV Park.
Look how close we are to the beach...it was so nice.
It was really quiet, probably because it was
mid-week and early in the season.
The weather was cloudy most of the time,
but it didn't rain until the morning that we left
and then only a sprinkle.

We took lots of walks, went into Ocean Shores a few times.
We saw some wild life...some deer and a raccoon.
(I, of course, did not have my camera with me at the time.)

After a little while it really did feel
like our home away form home.

As you can see the dogs settled right in...
please note the dog beds on the floor...
but they would rather sleep in the couch.
We did learn some lessons along the way,
never trust the seagulls.
They grabbed one of our steaks while my husband
stepped into the trailer for just a minute.

Also, make better lists...I had the steak, the chicken,
but nothing to really go with them.
There are also some little things we need to get,
like pot holders, table cloth for picnic table,
misc. stuff you have at home
and don't think about until you need it.

And we have to get the hot water issue worked out!
It came out luke-warm once we finally figured out
where all the by-pass and other valves were.

The next trip is in July for a Family Reunion in Wenatchee.

I'm Done!

It's taken 3 years, but I'm done!
(At least for a little while.)
Thank you to my wonderful husband for putting up with all
the projects and homework,
not to mention tuition and other expenses.
I love you!

Now for a job...

A new website!

I've been busy.  This is my first published website!  The sense of accomplishment is fantastic when you finish a project.

This website is for my cousin, she is a
licensed massage practitioner in Ritzville, WA

I had fun making it and bringing back what I had learned last year in all my web design classes.  It also shows me what more I'd like to learn, like some more photoshop skills.

Please check it out!

Hello Again!

Hi!  It's been a while, I know.
Of course it's been crazy busy (as always)
and then throw in an emergency trip to LA.
And it goes from crazy to WILD!
But that's life.

And with the trip to Los Angeles we canceled our
maiden voyage  in the fifth-wheel.
But we have rescheduled and soon we will be headed
out and about to the Ocean Shores area.

(found image)

We are going to be staying at
Check them out on Facebook.
The reviews sound awesome...close enough to everything,
but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing.
I am soooo looking forward to it.
My agenda is to walk on the beach everyday
...a campfire every night,
and of course, snuggling with my favorite honey!

Check back and read my review.
I'll be posting it on Facebook too.

Easter Cactus

This beautiful cactus is called an Easter Cactus.
It is in the yard of a neighbor of my parents in Arizona.
The story goes that it only blooms once a year, at Easter.  It doesn't matter if Easter is in March or April, the cactus knows.  The blossoms last only one day.

We were fortunate enough to be there that day.

Here it is!  Our new home-away-from-home.

This picture was taken by my Mom
in front of their house in Arizona.

I am so looking forward to camping this summer.
We already have a few dates set up.
So if anyone has any suggestions as to where to go,
send them my way.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

However you spend your day, enjoy it.

I'm headed out on a road trip to get a fifth-wheel trailer.  It will be a lot of fun this summer to camp and get away.  And we won't have to deal with over weight luggage, late airplanes, crowded seats and all the other fun things that go along with airline travel.

I'll have pictures soon.

It's Spring Break!

This week is Spring Break!
It's nice to have a little time off with out
the pressure of homework.
I have a few projects that I want to accomplish.
But today, the sun is shining, my husband is at work,
so I'm thinking about heading up to Skagit Valley
and checking on the tulip progress.
Here is a sampling of some of what I have taken pictures of in the past.

I love this shot, hate the lens flare...Live & Learn!

Have a wonderful day...

With love,
