Bulb Watch

Taken February 2nd

Today
Look...they're here!
The blooms have been open on sunny days, but today is cool and overcast.  It's supposed to rain later, but this is a sure sign of spring.

My most favorite time of year...

A Peek of Spring

I'm so excited!  Spring is peeking out everywhere.
I love tulips and crocus that are showing up in the flower pots and gardens.

This is my front porch (in need of a power wash) with one of my most treasured finds from Rebecca at Faded and Worn.  I brought it home from the Funky Junk Sisters show in November.  I love it!  It's a sweet addition to my porch.

Here is the planter bed around the tree.  I can't wait for the flowers to bloom.  I'll show you as soon as they are up...

Are you excited too?

Quiet Morning

(found)

All is quiet this morning.  I got to sleep in this morning, the first time in a while.  My husband left for work early and the house is so peaceful.

(found)
I started a new job on January 18th.  It's a part-time job as a receptionist at the Lynnwood Convention Center.  It's a lot of fun and I love have a job where I get to meet new people.

The venue is beautiful.  I had never been inside before my interview.  The interior of the building is great and it is so well kept.  You would never know that it is 5 years old, it looks brand new!  There are two floors of meeting rooms, all various sizes.  And as you can see by the picture above, the front of the building is flooded with natural light.  If you get the chance check out the schedule of events and stop by and see us.

My how time flies!

I cannot believe that 2 weeks
have pasted since my last post!

I'm back in school and things are crazy busy as usual...I am taking 2 graphics classes.  One is publications, starting the annual production of Vibrations magazine, a production of art & literary entries form students at Everett Community College.  It has been in production since 1963.  WOW!  The other is a general graphics class.  We just finished working up a newspaper ad for a national airline.  It's fun.

I read Mimi Charmante's blog and was inspired to focus on the "big" thinks in my life (and that may be something so small).  Another really important issue that is addressed today is the disaster in Haiti.  This is one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere, the earthquake there has practically leveled this tiny nation.  Mimi is donating what she makes at her Etsy store for the next 2 days...What a wonderful way to help.  Please check out here store.

Some of my photos...

This is what I have been up to lately...I finished yet another quarter at Everett Community College.  These photos are from the Photoshop class that I took.  I presented them on Monday night as my final project.

We were supposed to find a theme for our project and of course we start in the middle of the 3 week long rain that we had in November.  So my theme became "Raindrops".
You work with what you have in this area.

I really enjoyed my time in this class and it has inspired me to keep going.
